GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Patrick Sneddon, the man accused of causing a crash that killed three people, including two CDOT employees, was in court Friday.

Sneddon's lawyer stated they had come to a plea agreement, but were unable to discuss the plea with Sneddon before the hearing and requested extra time to do so.

A court hearing to enter a plea is now scheduled for this coming Tuesday.

In September 2024, Sneddon veered off the road on Highway 6 and 50, striking the CDOT truck and two CDOT workers -- 43-year-old Trent Umberger and 23-year-old Nathan Jones. Sneddon's partner, 67-year-old Kathi Wallace, was a passenger in the jeep he drove and was also killed in the crash.
