THOMSON, Ga (WJBF) - High school football season has kicked off in the CSRA, with fans returning to the Brickyard to cheer on the Thomson Bulldogs against the Evans Knights.

The return of Football Friday Night has brought excitement to Thomson, where the Bulldogs played their first home game of the season.

The stadium was filled with enthusiastic supporters eager to witness the action and enjoy the community spirit.

"We’re really excited because it’s a big tradition in Thomson, we’re both graduates of Thomson High School so it’s always been a tradition for us," said Jennie Gheesling, a parent of a Thomson High School cheerleader.
