Friday night update: As we wrap up Friday evening, things are active. A cluster of thunderstorms is drifting in, bringing a threat of isolated flash flooding. We have high rain rates with very humid air in place. A Flood Advisory in effect until 2:15 AM Saturday for Aiken, Edgefield, and Saluda counties. Expect things to quiet down as we progress through the overnight, with temperatures dropping into the low to mid-70s.
Get ready for a classic summer weekend with heat, humidity, and afternoon storms.
On Saturday, a "backdoor" front drops down into the CSRA. This means your chances for seeing an afternoon storm are pretty good, especially south of I-20.
It's also going to be hot and humid. Highs will be in the low to mid-90s, but with the humidity, it will feel like it's in the low 100s
