WASHINGTON — The District's annual celebration of the Godfather of Go-Go is back.
The 11th annual Chuck Brown Day celebration will be held at Fort Dupont Park in Southeast D.C. from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Go-Go music has long been associated with D.C. In February 2020, Mayor Muriel Bowser signed the Go-Go Music of the District of Columbia Designation Act of 2019 .
Performers will include Black Alley, Be'la Dona, Trouble Funk, and the Chuck Brown Band.
Organizers suggest that attendees use the Metro due to limited parking.
