AUBURN —- With roughly two weeks until Auburn football’s 2025 season starts, the Tigers’ offense isn’t exactly executing at the level head coach Hugh Freeze was hoping it would be at this point.
That was apparent at practice Thursday morning when Freeze was not pleased with how quarterback Jackson Arnold handled a red-zone drill.
In this drill, the quarterback takes the snap and has two receivers to throw to. Each receiver is covered by a member of the Auburn secondary. Arnold had star receiver Cam Coleman open in the end zone in this drill but was hesitant to throw the ball before eventually attempting to roll out.
The play was whistled dead as a sack, sending Freeze into a fury that saw him spike his visor into the ground and get onto his starting quarterback for his indecisiveness.
