QUAD CITIES, Ill./Iowa (KWQC) - Over 230 John Deere employees have been laid off at three facilities.

According to John Deere officials, the facilities affected are:

115 positions at Harvester Works in East Moline, with the last day of work Aug. 29

52 positions at Seeding and Cylinder in Moline, with the last day of work Sept. 26

71 positions at Foundry in Waterloo, with the last day of work Sept. 19

In a statement, John Deere officials said:

In an earnings call Thursday , Deere & Company reported a decrease in profit.

The Illinois Worknet Center website Wednesday reported layoffs at John Deere Harvester in East Moline, that began in September of 2023 .
