WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - With the back-to-school season ramping up, an opportunity is also fast approaching to support graduates of a local high school.

The Tee Off for Tim Memorial Golf Tournament will take place in just about a month, on September 14th at East Mountain Country Club.

The event will honor Tim Welch, who passed away in November, and was a project manager for a Westfield Company. Tim was also known for his mentorship of apprentice plumbers.

Funds raised during the tournament will benefit a graduate of the Smith Voc plumbing program in the form of a memorial scholarship. Click here to learn how to register to play or become a sponsor.
