MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Madison Police Department has identified a person of interest in a burglary at a downtown business earlier this year.
On March 25, Madison Police got a report of a person who threw a rock through a window of a business in the 200 block of North Frances Street. The person allegedly then broke a latch to get into the building.
The next day, March 26, Madison Police responded to the same business for a burglary that happened in the early morning hours. Police say about $1,000 in damage was done and items were stolen. That morning the cleaning crew arrived while the suspect was still there, but the suspect ran away before police got to the business.
