MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Over the last five years, there have been more than 100 car crashes on Williamson Street in Madison, and several of those have been into local businesses.
Back in May, a car crashed into Mother Fool’s Coffeehouse for the third time.
“It wasn’t new to us either, and we’re not the only business or building on Willy Street who have been hit,” said Stephanie Rearick, co-owner of Mother Fool’s Coffeehouse. “A bunch of buildings have been hit and some others more than once.”
Williamson Street has two lanes in each direction, and for most of the day, one is reserved for parking, but from 4 to 5:30 p.m. each weekday, the parking lane is opened to drivers and becomes a ‘rush hour’ lane.
