Nick Whiteside made it to the Detroit Lions‘ facility at 4:45 in the morning. It was about a 30-minute trip late last month. The cornerback arrived at the headquarters for his hometown team, took a physical, put pen to paper on a contract and was out on the practice field by 8:30 a.m.
