Man fatally shot aboard Philadelphia train in Friday night homicide
PHILADELPHIA, PA – A man was gunned down on a moving northbound train in the city’s 22nd District Friday night, prompting a homicide investigation now underway in coordination with SEPTA and Philadelphia Police.
The fatal shooting occurred around 7:38 p.m. near the intersection of North Broad Street and West Girard Avenue, according to preliminary reports released Saturday.
The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital by police officers but was pronounced dead at 8:09 p.m.
Details about the victim’s identity and circumstances leading up to the shooting have not yet been released.
