Senator Adam Schiff dodged giving Trump credit for Ukraine talks, arguing a different approach was needed.

On CNN’s “The Lead,” Sen. Adam Schiff appeared to struggle with a straightforward question: Does President Donald Trump deserve credit for his attempt to broker peace between Russia and Ukraine?

The question came as Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Anchorage, Alaska, to negotiate an end to the ongoing conflict. The meeting followed Trump’s consistent calls for peace and warnings of sanctions if talks did not begin.
