The Mahoning County OVI Task Force has announced that they have teamed up with the Ohio State Highway Patrol to set up an OVI checkpoint in Youngstown to monitor the roads on Friday night.

According to the announcement, the checkpoint will be set up around 2214 Mahoning Avenue from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Even after the checkpoint ends, officers with the Mahoning County OVI Task Force will be conducting saturation patrols around Mahoning County throughout the weekend.

Officials suggest that motorists make plans to get home safely if they plan to consume alcohol over the weekend.
