YOUNGSTOWN - Pickle-lovers rejoice because Youngstown is having its very first annual Pickle Festival on Saturday, August 16.

The event at Penguin City Brewing features local vendors selling pickle-themed items and pickle-flavored foods accompanied by live entertainment. Guests can enjoy a variety of pickle goods including pickle pretzels, popcorn and even candy.

There will also be a best pickle pizza contest and guests can participate in a people's choice ballot to vote for their favorite pickle pizza.

The event began at 11 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m. in the afternoon.

Penguin City Brewing Company is located at 460 E Federal Street in Youngstown.
