Pammy Maye, 49, was the legal guardian of the 5-year-old child. Columbus police believe Maye suffocated Taylor before leaving his body in a sewage drain.

Maye was charged with aggravated murder, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse in Franklin County.

After her defense asked for a competency evaluation, Maye was found not competent to stand trial. She will receive treatment for up to a year in an effort to restore her competency.
