CINCINNATI —
Cincinnati's city council race is quickly shaping up to be one of the most competitive in years.
Documents from the Hamilton County Board of Elections' office indicate that 25 candidates have filed the necessary paperwork to run for city council so far. Advertisement
Of those 25, 22 have had their paperwork approved by the board. An additional three petitions are still being reviewed.
Additionally, 21 other people are also gathering signatures, including former council members Steven Goodin and Liz Keating.
Eight of the nine current council members are among those who are running and have had their paperwork approved by the Board of Elections. Council member Victoria Parks is the lone incumbent not seeking reelection.
