BRANDON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Day nine of the Amateur baseball tournament was held at Aspen Park on Friday.

Class A elimination games headlined the afternoon action in Brandon.

The Harrisburg Woodies and the Renner Monarchs met on the field at 1pm, for what turned out to be the longest game of the tourney.

Jeremiah Mauch and Kris Regas were the starting pitchers.

Both went 8 innings allowing just one run.

It wasn’t until the 15th inning when the tie would be broke.

The Monarchs strung together a few hits to score 6 runs, winning 7-1.

Yankton and Brookings picked up wins today.

Brookings beat Aberdeen 7-3, Yankton blanked Tea 9-0.

Brookings and Yankton will now be meeting on the same field for some morning action.

The winner plays Harrisburg following that 11am game.
