LEHI, Utah – The Skyridge Falcons lived up to their lofty ranking entering 2025, throttling the Mountain Ridge Sentinels 52-17 in week one of the high school football season.
The 2025 Utah high school football season kicked off on Friday, August 15, when the Skyridge Falcons hosted the Mountain Ridge Sentinels.
Falcons QB Kaneel Sweetwyne tossed five touchdown passes and ran for another as he gave the Sentinels defense fits with his scrambling ability. Lincoln Tahi scored once on the ground and once through the air.
Jaxon Hunt scored two rushing touchdowns for Mountain Ridge.
First Quarter
Mountain Ridge took the football first to open the season. The Sentinels grabbed a 3-0 lead on a field goal after the drive stalled in Falcons territory.
