John Wesley Groves Jr., 80, of Wheeling, passed away Tuesday August 5, 2025 at Liza’s Place.

He was born July 7, 1945, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late John W. and Beatrice (Schnelle) Groves, Sr.

John was an Equipment Operator for the City of Wheeling and retired after 29 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Roy Gene Groves.

He is survived by his sisters Laura (Bill) LaRue, Jr., Mary Groves, Darlene Butler and several nieces and nephews.

All services will be private and interment will be in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens.
