An 18-year-old male was shot and killed at Centennial Park in Greeley on Thursday night, and police continue to investigate what they said is an isolated incident.
Police responded to the shooting about 8 p.m. at the park at 2201 23rd Ave., according to a news release from the Greeley Police Department on Friday evening.
Witnesses reported a fight between occupants of a red truck and a gray sedan before the shooting. The suspect was described as a white man who left the park in the gray sedan.
The victim was found with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at North Colorado Medical Center.
Police said there is no danger to the public. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information will be released as of Friday, the release said.
