PICKFORD — After 29 years in public education, Pickford Superintendent Angela Nettleton retired in May, making way for a newcomer to step into her place.

Pickford Public Schools announced earlier this month that elementary school principal Kyle Rairigh is going to be the new leader for the district.

Rairigh is a Pickford alumni, graduating from Pickford High School in 1999. When his family moved to Pickford from Lansing, Rairigh's mother began working for the district as a fifth grade teacher, and eventually became the elementary school principal. Rairigh's dad also coaches for the school.
