SYLVANIA — It was standing room only on Friday as U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) officially launched his campaign for U.S. Senate with a kickoff event in Sylvania.

Several prominent figures — including Mobile pastor Travis Johnson, former State Rep. Ed Harris and chair of the RNC's Youth Advisory Council Brilyn Hollyhand — voiced their strong support for Moore's senate bid, saying he's the true conservative candidate to represent Alabama and support President Donald Trump's agenda.

"This is a down-to-earth guy that all of you know, because he's not only your congressman, but he's your friend, and he's soon going to be your senator," Hollyhand said.

During his speech, Moore highlighted Trump's success so far, despite heavy opposition from the left.
