BURLINGTON, N.C. — A man was arrested and charged after two people were injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in Burlington, according to police.

Police responded to the 100 block of Lundsford Drive around 12:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found two victims with gunshot wounds.

The two people were taken to a local hospital. Police said their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Kevon Shawn Dark, 33, of Burlington, is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Police said he is being held at the Alamance County Jail with no bond.

The investigation is still ongoing.
