GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — A section of Interstate 95 south in Greenwich is closed after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Saturday morning, state police said.

The collision happened just before 2:30 a.m. near exit 3.

Serious injuries were sustained, prompting state police to close the area between exits 2 and 3 for investigation.

All travelers must find alternative routes as investigators do not know when the roadway will reopen.
