CROOKSTON, Minn. — Behind every bouquet sold by Kounty Korner Floral is a hard-working family in Crookston, Minnesota, who cares deeply about their community.

They believe providing a luxury product at an affordable price locally is important.

The Klawitter family, of Kounty Korner Floral, has been recognized as the University of Minnesota’s Polk County Farm Family of the Year.

The Klawitters were surprised to learn they had won, since they had no idea they were even in the running, said Sarah Klawitter. Their nomination was based on community members and an award nomination committee.
