The Nebraska Military Department will kick off a new partnership to build new ties between the NMD and Columbus during ceremonies and other activities taking place in Columbus on Thursday, Aug. 21.
The Community Partnership Program is an NMD initiative designed to strengthen the NMD’s ability to support local citizens and communities by enhancing enduring relationships through activities to build trust, sustain communications, and enhance overall readiness for emergency responses.
Columbus will be the eighth Nebraska city to join CPP, joining Wahoo, Beatrice, Grand Island, North Platte, Plattsmouth, Gering and Scottsbluff which signed CPP agreements with the NMD over the past 18 months.
