Invasive species are an issue the world over, Mike Gutzmer, principal at New Century Environmental (NCE) said. In the last 200 years or so, species that had never been on this continent before have not only arrived, but thrived.
That's where Gutzmer and his company come in. NCE, founded in 2007, has made quite an impact, recently receiving an award from the North American Invasive Species Management Association for 15 years of managing these plants and animals in its coverage area. Doing this for 15 years in Nebraska, he said, is an exciting milestone for him and his crew.
