Savers are being urged to check their bank’s rankings as the Competition and Markets Authority has released its annual banking scores. This list rates 17 of the UK’s biggest banks based on customer surveys across a range of products including online banking, overdrafts and in-store experiences.
The rankings are required to be public and displayed by banks and building societies, both online and in-branch, so customers can check how their bank is doing and help them consider if they could get a better experience elsewhere.
This year’s rankings show challenger institutions are overtaking the traditional high street names. The results are separated between business accounts and personal account providers.
For both personal and business accounts, online bank Monzo came out on top. Starling
