GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Despite the hot, summer temperatures, vendors cannot help but come back to the Great New York State Fair year after year.

One family has been returning to the fairgrounds from different parts of the country since 1989.

"We use it as a family reunion type thing," David Tadros, co-owner of the Fresh Roasted Corn Stand said.

"I work with my brothers. My one brother lives out in California, I live in New Jersey, and my brother-in-law still lives in Syracuse. So we all get back together once a year, and we work hard, and we have fun."

Phil Galuppi, the owner of Stix & Things, has refused to miss a beat since 2003.

"It's the people," Galuppi said. "It's fun. It's once a year, and it's a little tradition we have."
