SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) - One person was injured early Saturday morning in a shooting at an apartment complex in Spartanburg.

According to police reports, officers were called to Collins Park Apartment Complex on Kirkland Terrace for a reported shooting. At the scene, officers found a man lying on his stomach near a car.

According to the report, officers observed several wounds on his chest and under an armpit which were bleeding. Officers applied two chest seals and rendered emergency aid while waiting on an ambulance to get the victim and take him to the hospital.

Officers reported a bystander told them a teal-colored vehicle was seen fleeing the area shortly after the shooting.
