Northern California is in for a well-timed cool-down heading into the weekend.

Friday's temperatures reached the mid 90s in the Valley. Saturday will be almost 10 degrees cooler as an onshore breeze picks up.

Saturday morning will still feel warm with lows in the low 60s.

A breeze will be noticeable throughout the afternoon and evening with some gusts over 30 mph in the delta and over the Sierra crest. Valley high temperatures will range from the mid 80s to low 90s. In the Sierra, expect temperatures to stay in the 70s.

The Foothills will also feel a pleasant afternoon breeze. Morning temperatures will be in the low 60s. Afternoon temperatures will be in the mid 80s.
