One of the guilty pleasures of going out to eat is getting the chance to steal glances at your fellow diners and get brief glimpses into their worlds.

David Chang, the influential chef known for Momofuku and hosting several food programs, said his favorite restaurant in the country for people watching is a French Quarter institution, Galatoire's at 209 Bourbon St.

In a recent episode of his podcast "The Dave Chang Show," he pointed to the mirrors that surround the dining room of the 120-year-old standard bearer for traditional Creole dining .
