PRAIRIE GROVE -- A 78-year-old woman was killed Friday in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Little Elm and U.S. 62.

Marcia Donley of Fayetteville died from injuries sustained in an accident around 3:39 p.m. Friday, according to a Facebook post from the Prairie Grove Police Department.

Donley was transported to Washington Regional Hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced deceased, the post states.

The investigation into the accident remains ongoing, and no further details are being released, according to the post.

"We are grateful for all the help we have received these past two days from Farmington Police Department, Washington County Sheriff's Office, Arkansas State Police and Boston Mountain," the post states.
