BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) -- A transit service will be offering people a break from the heat this weekend.

Connect Transit will offer a cooling bus to provide relief for those in need, Connect Transit spokesperson Mark Huffman said.

He said the air-conditioned bus will act as a temporary cooling station and will be available to the public.

The bus will be in the parking lot of the McLean County Health Department in Bloomington, Huffman said. It will be open for use from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17.
