CHARDON, Ohio — One person is dead and two others hospitalized after a two-car rollover crash in Chardon on Saturday morning.
According to Chardon Fire Chief Justin Geiss, crews were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 608 and Chardon-Windsor Road at 9:11 a.m.
"Upon arrival, crews found two vehicles with heavy damage. Two of the victims self-extricated, and a third was still in the vehicle. Two patients were transported to Geauga Hospital, and a third was pronounced dead at the scene," Geiss explained in a release.
Geiss added that the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. 3News has reached out to the OSHP requesting additional details about the incident.
Chardon firefighters were assisted at the scene by members of the Burton and Hambden fire departments.
