CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Democratic Party will hold a meeting to reconsider its endorsement of Cleveland City Councilman Joe Jones after an investigation revealed that he engaged in "bullying" and "harassment," including threatening to kill a city employee.
Jones is currently running for a third term in his Ward 1 seat, with the nonpartisan primary election set for Sept. 9. The top two vote-getters will advance to the general election on Nov. 5.
In a statement issued on Friday, Cuyahoga County Democratic Party Chair David Brock announced the reconvened meeting of the Ward 1 Executive Committee will take place via Zoom on Saturday, Aug. 23 starting at 10 a.m. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the party's YouTube channel.
