WALDOBORO, Maine — Maine State Police has located the suspect in the homicide of a 53-year-old woman who was found dead in her Waldoboro home last Saturday, Aug. 9 .

59-year-old James Clark of Damariscotta has been charged with murder, according to a release from Maine State Police.

Clark reportedly fled Maine to Florida.

Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit detectives worked with the Volusia County Sheriff's Office in Florida to take Clark into custody, according to the release. Deputies arrested him at the Red Carpet Inn in South Daytona Friday at 6:40 p.m.

Clark was arrested without incident and will be transferred back to Maine, the release said.
