ROCK COUNTY, Wis. (WMTV) - A slow-no-wake restriction is in effect on a portion of the Rock River, the Rock Co. Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday.
The Sheriff’s Office says, according to US Geological Survey Gauges, the water level for the Rock River in Afton is 6.61 feet. County ordinance requires a slow-no-wake speed restriction be placed on the Rock River in Afton when the water level exceeds 6.5 feet.
The Rock River from the Indianford Dam south to the W B R Townline Road Bridge is under a slow-no-wake speed restriction.
Rock Co. Sheriff’s Office says the restriction requires boaters to operate at a speed as slowly as possible while still maintaining steering control.
