Ruth Langsford has revealed what’s ‘always on her mind' as she provided an emotional family update.

The Loose Women star recently used her platform to open up about the ‘responsibility’ of unpaid carers around the UK.

Ruth helps to look after her mum, Joan, who was diagnosed with dementia shortly after her father Dennis died in 2012 following complications caused by Alzheimer's disease .

The 65-year-old’s mum is currently living in a care home in Surrey, located around the corner from Ruth's house.

Having made the move from Cornwall several years ago, Ruth said on Loose Women earlier in the month that her mum sometimes ‘can’t remember what she’s had for her lunch or breakfast’.
