BUFFALO, N.Y. — Cheektowaga Police have provided more details to what led up to a fatal shooting involving their officers on Wednesday, but family members of the deceased say that they want more information about what happened.

Cheektowaga Police said officers went to 269 Sanders Road in Buffalo on Aug. 13 to arrest Hugh Davis Jr. for an alleged assault on Aug. 11 at the Fairfield Inn on Genesee Street in Cheektowaga.

Some members of Davis' family are asking to see the body camera footage of the incident, saying that they feel left in the dark.
