PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Three people were arrested after a nearly seven-hour retail theft mission conducted at a Scappoose Fred Meyer on Friday, authorities said.
According to Scappoose police, the three were caught stealing directly from the store, with "products ranging from small basket items to a full shopping cart filled with stolen merchandise."
One of the those arrested also had methamphetamine paraphernalia in his possession as well as an outstanding warrant, police said.
The items recovered were then returned to the store.
Led by Scappoose police, the mission also consisted of officers from the St. Helens Police Department, Columbia County Sheriff's deputies, as well as loss-prevention officers from the Fred Meyer store.
