FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne United is celebrating the relaunch of its Ten Point Coalition program Saturday.
In 2018, former Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry and city leaders came together to create the program.
The goal of the Ten Point Coalition: “engage local neighborhoods to reduce crime while increasing hope and community pride.”.
However, in August 2024, Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker put a pause on the program , citing internal issues that needed to be fixed to ensure proper protection for its members.
She said she supports the program and suggested it could become a charitable organization and possibly become funded as a 501(c)(3) while she works to fix the issues.
In February, Fort Wayne UNITED announced its relaunch .
