JACKSON, Mo. (KFVS) - The Sunset Drive bridge replacement project in Jackson, Missouri, is complete--a month earlier than anticipated.

According to city leaders, the project, which began Tuesday, June 17, required a full road closure for one block from N. High Street/Highway 61 to Brookview Street.

It consisted of removing the old bridge and constructing a new bridge structure, along with other related improvements.

The project was planned to be completed by September 13, but on Saturday, August 16, the city announced the bridge is now open.
