The Winnipeg Sea Bears are the quintessential model for the CEBL and something the entire league should aspire to, or so says the league commissioner.

“(The franchise) is everything I had hoped this league would be,” CEBL commissioner Mike Morreale told The Winnipeg Sun. “This team has found some magic, and they are able to put it together. I am hoping this championship weekend serves as a launching point for the franchise to show what they can do beyond the court.”

The Sea Bears will host the league’s championship weekend, starting next Friday at the Canada Life Centre.
