Families in Winnipeg’s Northwood neighbourhood now have a vibrant new outdoor space to gather, play, and stay active, following the grand opening of major park upgrades at Northwood Community Centre at 1415 Burrows Avenue.

The $604,000 project delivered a new basketball court with sport court surfacing, upgraded playground equipment, asphalt pathways, improved drainage, and new seating areas around the park and wading pool. Funding was provided through the Canada Community-Building Fund ($149,000), the City’s Land Dedication Reserve Fund ($225,000), and the Province’s Arts, Culture and Sport in Community Fund ($230,000).
