Liam Gallagher made a 'sober' admission as Oasis kicked off their first Croke Park gig on Saturday night (August 16).

Having already conquered Cardiff, Heaton Park , Wembley Stadium and Murrayfield Stadium, the Gallagher brothers headed to Ireland for the first time since 2008.

Oasis’ last time playing in the country they had a holiday home growing in, was at Slane Castle, Ireland’s biggest music venue.

Their two sold-out nights in the Irish capital were being held in the home of the GAA, the sports federation behind Gaelic football and hurling.

With over 160,000 tickets sold, many Irish fans were left frustrated by their attempts to land the gold dust tickets last year.
