More than 10,000 attend Mary Nelson’s back-to-school giveaway in Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. — When Mary Nelson held her annual back-to-school giveaway last year , she said it was her largest one yet, with more than 5,000 children registering to get supplies for the school year.

Nelson outdid herself once again this year.
