ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - A 35-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle crash between a vehicle, believed to be a Ford, and a Moped.

The Moped was heading east on C.R. 4 with a passenger, when the Ford vehicle rear ended the Moped, causing the passenger to be ejected.

The driver of the Ford dragged the Moped into a yard, then fled the scene. Both the driver and passenger from the Moped were taken to Elkhart General Hospital, for head injuries.

The driver of the Moped, now identified as James Thoman, was declared dead at Elkhart General Hospital.
