The Florence County Sheriff's Office Criminal Enforcement Unit says it discovered 100 pounds of marijuana with a street value of about $120,000 during a traffic stop.

Twopeople are facing charges of trafficking marijuana: Carl Anthony Dais, Jr., 24, of South Elm Street, Florence, and Alif Kahleem Kiiza, 25, of Harden Street, Columbia.

Deputies assigned to the FCSO Criminal Enforcement Unit initiated a traffic stop Wednesday for a moving violation on a vehicle traveling south on Interstate 95 near the 170mile marker.

Deputies claim they developed reasonable suspicion of criminal activity and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle.
