The search for a nonverbal autistic boy missing since Thursday from Village de l'Est continued Saturday evening, New Orleans police confirmed.

"NOPD and law enforcement partners are still actively searching for Bryan Vasquez," Officer Reese Harper said in a statement. "There are no updates at this time."

Vasquez was last seen around 6:33 a.m. Thursday in the Village de l’Est neighborhood. He does not understand English or Spanish and requires medication. Vasquez is Hispanic, 5’1” tall, weighs 86–100 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a diaper and walking in an unknown direction.

Residents in the area bounded by Chef Menteur Highway, Dwyer Road, Michoud Boulevard and Interstate 510 were asked to check backyards, under raised homes and any surveillance fo
